Vol. Lucky No. Charms
The 17th is St. Patrick’s Day, but alas, it falls on Sunday, so you need to rethink this. How about you plan to celebrate on Saturday night and on Sunday you can sit in your sham-rocking chair to recover.
What do you get when you cross a four-leaf clover with poison ivy? (a rash of good luck)
I wonder if the thick foam on top of a green Guiness as also green. Would you find this off-putting? Demand a blindfold? If you’ve wagered on this, gird your loins, shut your eyes and down the hatch. Win that wager.
On St. Patrick’s Day how many of us does it take to change a light bulb? (never mind, we can still drink in the dark)
If you don’t care for corned beef and cabbage and soda bread, my advice? Try a shamrock shake – vanilla ice cream, peppermint extract and green food coloring. If this doesn’t hit the spot, serve up some chocolate Guinness cake. Do not ask the ingredients.
You know you overdid it on St. Patrick’s Day when you think you’re kissing the Blarney Stone and then it kisses you back.
The Spring Equinox is the 19th – this means ignoring late snow and dancing sky-clad around a lovely fire in the forest.
