Vol. Simone No. Amazing

Can't believe the Olympics are over, nearly expired watching Simone Biles. Airborne twelve feet up? Oh yes, she's 4'8". The look on Tom Brady's face was priceless. The U.S. came home with a shi(p)-load of medals. For all my friends in Australia, big congratulations, third in gold medals - I'd like to see a boomerang competition in the Olympics. Actually, congratulations to all the amazing athletes, just imagine you made it to the Olympics. How many souls on our planet can put that on their resume?

Now, let me just say a word about Steph Curry. The last two games, nail-biting close, he scored a total of 60 points, 18 three-pointers. His first Olympics and as coach Steve Kerr said, Steph is a storybook.

Flashpoint, the 27th FBI, just might make it to the Olympics. Thank you very much for buying it. But big question - are you advertising it, hopefully with a lovely big sandwich board with the cover on both the front and the back?

I'm told the reviews are medal-worthy, but honestly, I never ever read them unless they're on my Facebook reader page or in an email - and believe me, I do know names and addresses.

Pre-Season Football - I really do try to watch the games, but frankly I find them boring. But the season begins September 5th. Go 49ers!

As you all know, I've shut down the FBI series (Savich and Sherlock) at Flashpoint, #27. I wanted to write something lighter, less taxing (believe me, there are so many threads and twists and just plain nail-biting effort with the FBI series). So, I'm writing a historical romance, with a mystery, of course, and having a ball. The characters are crazy and they won't shut up. They're having as much fun as I am. I have no title yet, I'll let you know.

Happy August,
Catherine Coulter

A very arty photo of the Golden Gate -- yes, I took it.
